Ukrainian Inspectorate of Quality Control of Medicines and Ukrainian State Committee of Regulator Policy and Business announced about an assertion of GMP license compliance for pharmaceutical manufacturing, wholesale, retail trade and distribution of drugs that enters into the action on 12 April, 2009.

The new license requirements, approved by Ministry of Public Health, include Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Distribution Practice terminology. This means that the GMP and GDP compliances have to be required to produce and distribute the drugs in Ukraine. Ministry of Public Health affirmed a new GMP manual, which will be published in the near time. The license requirements do not cover a production of the traditional medicines, that enumeration is determined by Ministry of Public Health.
